“Angela put my hair up in a 50’s style for a party I was going to. She is so lovely and professional too. I loved my hair and had so many compliments about it. I returned to my hotel room at 3am with my hair still looking amazing. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back.

Summer Trends

Your Kent Wedding Magazine - Website - 2018

You want to pick something on trend whether you’re getting married, acting as a bridesmaid or simply the guest of honour at a wedding this year.

Deciding on a hairstyle can often be just as hard as picking your wedding dress or outfit, you want it on trend but also want to make sure the look is timeless so that looking back on wedding photographs in the distant future does not make you cringe!

Braids, relaxed, soft and informal are the key words this summer to achieving the right look. To help achieve this then preparing the hair correctly will give you a head start. I’d recommend using a sea salt spray into wet hair to dehydrate it and encourage texture within the hair.

Then once dried curl your hair using a wand or your straighteners, you can pull the curls out until you are happy with how they sit by running your fingers through or using a brush if you’d like more waves. To give your hair some extra texture use a mattifying root powder or by either teasing or hair.

At this stage you could either leave your hair romantically free flowing for a soft down look or you could add a braid of your choice at the sides before pulling it back creating a boho half up – half down style.

To take the boho look to an up-do simply twist and pin using kirby grips and hairspray medium size sections of the remaining hair to below the braid at the back. Allowing strands to loosely hang and frame the face, this will give the look and a pretty effortless vibe.
